Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TTS Reader collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the TTS Reader : AI Text to Speech iOS app published by Khandker Tafiqul Islam.

1. Information you enter

• Text, documents and links you provide for reading aloud
• Items you save to your library, and your listening progress
• Voice, speed, pitch and playback preferences
• Text captured by the camera scanner when you use it

2. Information stored on your device

• Downloaded audio files for offline playback
• Local notification and reminder scheduling data

TTS Reader does not access your contacts or precise location.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most apps, TTS Reader receives technical information that helps keep it working:

• App version, device model, operating system version and language
• Crash reports, performance logs and error diagnostics
• Product usage events, such as opening the app or completing an action
• Purchase and subscription status
• Remote configuration metadata

4. Third-party services

TTS Reader relies on a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Apple — App Store billing, iCloud and CloudKit sync, widgets, notifications and other device services
• RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation. RevenueCat does not receive your payment card details
• Sentry — crash reporting and diagnostic error data
• Firebase — app infrastructure, remote configuration and analytics
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymised usage and interaction patterns used to improve usability

5. How your information is stored

Your library and playback progress are stored on your device. Text you submit for speech synthesis, AI summarisation or translation is transmitted to the relevant processing service to produce that result and is not used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone.

6. How the information is used

• To provide the features you are using
• To sync your data across your own Apple devices when you enable that
• To power widgets, notifications and reminders
• To process subscriptions and respond to support requests
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

7. Sharing

Your information is shared only with the service providers listed above, when required by law, to protect the security of the app and its users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

8. Retention

Data stored on your device or in your iCloud account is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Service providers retain diagnostic and analytics data according to their own schedules. Support correspondence is kept as long as reasonably necessary to help you.

9. Your choices

• Edit or delete your data inside the app at any time
• Turn iCloud sync on or off in iOS Settings
• Control notifications and permissions in iOS Settings
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings
• Delete the app to remove its local data from your device

If you live somewhere with a comprehensive privacy law — including the EEA, the UK, California and a growing number of US states — you may also request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information. Write to the address below and we will respond within the period your law requires.

10. International transfers

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, transfers rely on the contractual and technical safeguards those laws require.

11. Children

TTS Reader is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and it will be deleted.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No electronic system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your device and any files you export.

Camera and photo access

The camera scanner is used only when you open it, and only to capture text for conversion to speech. Captured images are processed to extract text and are not stored beyond what is needed to produce that result. Access is requested through the standard iOS permission prompt and can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings.

13. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date above will change and, where required, you will be notified in the app.
